Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Full-length double-bar in gold and colors along left margin, with rinceaux halfway across upper and lower margin. One- to -two-line initials in gold on red or blue backgrounds. Rectangular line-fillers in gold and colors. "Ps." in red ink used for marking line starting with new psalm.

Use of Metz indicated by the antiphon and chapter reading of None for the Hours of the Virgin, and supported by the contents of the calendar page. Some features of the text are atypical, including Psalm choices and lessons.
History
Made in Northern France for the Use of Metz.
Purchased by Otto F. Ege in the 1930s; dismembered shortly thereafter. Leaves of this manuscripts are used as no. 28 in his "Fifty Original Leaves from Medieval Manuscripts" portfolios.
