Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Description
Fol. [1]v contains a miniature in a circle with a diameter of 123 mm; the outer borders of the circle contain metereological and astrological inscriptions (weather indications (moist/dry), names of months and constellations).
The middle of the miniature contains the Christ-child with three sheep and a town (probably Liège) in the background, painted. The text on the banderole is: "Oves mee vocem meam audiunt et cognosco eas", referring to John 10:27. The miniature is severely damaged.
On fol. [2]r-v: Plain initials, alternately in red and blue ink. Red rubrication and underlining, red colour stroking.
