Both the main text and glosses in Gothic textualis, with glosses significantly smaller; written by two different hands.
Original Condition
Current Condition
Trimmed on all sides, with loss of glosses, especially in one of the leaves. Loss of text and damage to the sides of the leaves that were adhered to the binding.
Book Decoration and Musical Notation
3- to 12-line initials in alternating red and blue with flourishing in the opposite colour; 1-line initials in alternating plain red and blue; paragraph marks in blue.

folio 1ra-2vb: Decretales 5.34.34-58 with gloss:“[acephalous] [incipit] Licet ergo dux Venetorum dominus nauium … debitum quidem reddere potest sed postulare non debet [folio 2ra] ne in alterutro uel contra legem coniugii … [explicit] quam per sedem apostolicam uel eis legatum absolutionis.”
History
The fragments were used as pasted endleaves in an unknown book from the Ripon Cathedral Library collection.
