Host Volume
The fragments were used as flyleaves in a register of the assizes of beer in the city of Antwerp kept between 1 August - 31 October 1570 ('Twede quaertier Jaers van May - Junius - Julius. Anno 1572. Rentmeester Jan de Poortere. Peter Goos'). The volume was kept by Peter Goos and overseen by Jan de Poortere.
A modern paper slip with the inscription '1572' is attached to the leaves with string, referring to this origin.
