General Information
Main text in northern gothica textualis formata. Later additions to chants added in a cursive hand, possibly from 16th century.
Original Condition
Medieval foliation using Roman numerals, in upper right corner of recto sides.
Quires of at least three bifolia.
Fragments are fully comprised of musical notation.
Current Condition
Fol. 261-262 were used in reverse when used as a cover; currently, fol. 262 is the top leaf of the bifolium, while fol. 261 is the bottom leaf. The other leaves were used in their original order.
Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Red plain initials and initials with interior reserved shapes (fol. 263r). Red colour stroking, red rubrication, red paraphs.
Neumatic notation (<i>Hufnagelschrift</i>) on four black lines.

Host Volume
The three bifolia were separately used as covers for three different bindings kept by St Leonard's Church, Zoutleeuw.
Fol. 260-263 were used for an account book kept by Laureijs de Bleijs between 1684 and 1686 ('Rekeninge van het [...] fabrijke van ste lenart begaende den iunj 1685 tot den letsten meij 1686 voor het iaer 1684').
Fol. 259-264 were used for an account book kept by Laureijs de Bleijs between 1686 and 1687 ('Manuael voor Laureijs de Bleijs continuerende alle de ontfanck ende vwijtgaven van de fabrijke van ste Lenart beginnende 1686 tot iunij 1687').
Fol. 261-262 were used for an account for the year 1689 ('Manuale pro anno 1689'); it is unknown whether Laureijs de Bleijs was involved with this account.
