The fragment was originally part of same manuscript as two other fragments, now Brussels, KBR, MS IV 636 1 and 2.

The fragment was not the inner bifolium of the original quire, but there was at least one other more bifolium placed between the two preserved leaves.

The fragment is heavily trimmed, with the upper half of the bifolium and half of the outer columns missing. The text on the upper and lower cover has largely faded, making it difficult to read.

Remarks

When the fragment was used as a cover, the outside was covered with paper. The paper was removed in 1983 to conduct research on the fragment.
