Fol. [1] has been trimmed in its outer margin (but with no text loss), fol. [2] was completely spared from trimming, and fol. [3] and [4] were trimmed to vertical strips.

Readers left notes as well as pen drawings in the manuscript. On fol. [1]r, manicula are visible as well as small pen drawings of a birds' head and a dog.

Pen-flourished plain initials, alternately in red, blue and purple ink. Paraphs alternately in red, blue and black ink.

Remarks

The fragments were used as pastedowns in a register of the assizes of beer in the city of Antwerp kept between 1 February 1563 and 30 April 1564. The register was kept by controller Jan Goidschalck under the supervision of steward Lambrecht van Kessele, who served in his first year as steward. (Note on fol. 1 of the host volume: Dierste quartier Jaers vanden eersten Jaredes Rentmeesters Lambrechts van Kessele beginnende prima februarij 1563 totten Leste dach April Jncluys 1564. by my Jan Goidschalck)

A modern paper slip with the inscription '1563-64-2' is attached to the leaves with a string, referring to this origin.
