History
Provenance
Fragment was kept in the archives of St Walpurga's church (Oudenaarde) before being transferred to the Oudenaarde city archives.

Remarks
The fragment was presumably used as a cover for archival documents related to the villages of Elsegem and Gijzelbrechtegem, two villages close to Oudenaarde, according to the provenance note on fol. [1]r. This probably happened sometime during the 16th or 17th century.
