The whole width of the two columns is preserved, but the upper lines of col. b are not legible due to the two labels glued on it. Only the lower 10 lines of the approximately 25 original lines are visible.

History

Origin

The host volume was printed in Munich in 1624. The earliest attested owner, Martin Liechtenegger bears a name common in Bavaria. The fragment may also be of Bavarian origin. 

Provenance

The owner of the volume in the year 1626 wrote his name several times in the book: "Martinus Liechtenegger est verus possessor huius libelli. Anno millesimo sexcentesimo vigesimo sexto", "Martinus Liechtenegger" (recto of front flyleaf), "Ex libris Martini Liechtenegger" (verso of front flyleaf), "Martinus Liechtenegger p(ossessor)" (back pastedown).

Persons and Institutions In 1764 the volume belonged to the Jesuit College library, Cluj: "Collegii Societatis Iesu Claudiopoli 1764" (title page). By 1832 it was already in library of the Roman Catholic Lyceum: "Bibliotheca Lycei Regalis Claudiopolitani 1832" (title page). After 1948, the volume became part of the collection of the Romanian Academy Library from Cluj.
