Fragments are worn, torn and brown. Cuts are visible on each bifolium, which could be the result of the binding process. These cuts have been sewn. 2 lines are missing from the bifolium 1-10. Merely the rubrics can be deciphered on the f. 5r, 6v, 7r, 19r, 21r-v, 22r-v. The text on the bifolium 23-24 is undecipherable.

Remarks

The fragments became part of the bookbinding in the Dominican monastery of Vienna in the 15th century. The bookbinding workshop mostly utilized locally used codices for binding, therefore the former breviary was probably used in the monastery before its leaves were cut and recycled.

Binding: 15th-century gothic, blind-tooled leather binding  (Rozsondai 2013, nr. 51.) The 12 bifolia were detached from the boards of the host volume.
