General Information
Good calligraphic hand in a gothic textura rotunda from the 15th century. Round strokes are found in almost every letterform, including minims, whose lower section often turns right on the baseline. Short ascenders and descenders. a has a vertical back and a small angular bowl. Two forms of d are used, although uncial is mostly preferred in all positions. In both cases ascenders are very short and almost flat in the round shape. g has an open tail and its head, which also remains open, ends in a horizontal stroke ligaturing with the following letter. Also, two forms of s. Whereas the round shape is preferred at word-end, high s is made of two strokes which often appear joined by a very thin hairline. 2-shaped r is consistently used after o and, presumably, other forms ending in a curved stroke (like b, in this case). Similarly, biting is found throughout the two fragments. Red rubrics in same hand and script, although module is slightly larger. Punctuation mostly limited to punctus simplex and occasionally punctus elevatus.
