The first three lines of fol. [1]r are part of the Communion chant for the twenty-first Sunday after Pentecost ('facies de persequentibus me iud[icium] ... adiuva me domine deus meus', CantusIndex ID g01246).
The final line of fol. [1]r is a Bible reading, directly quoting Luke 9: 23 ('...abneget semetipsum et...')
