Lehrgepräch (vv. 5129-448, 5609-768) mgf 720b

General Information
The fragment consists of three severely damaged parchment bifolia. The right side of the first folio is cut from below in a triangular shape (Prillwitz 1975, 72).
Original Condition
The original size: approx. 290x200 mm (Prillwitz 1975, 72)/ 290x190 mm (Handschriftencensus). The size of the written text columns: approx. 245x160 mm.
The text is arranged in two columns. Every column consists of up to 40 distinct verses (except for the first partial folio, which only has half of the verses remaining).
Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Ornamental initials (mostly two lines) for new paragraphs mostly are written in red or blue ink, with pen flourishes that take up 15 lines vertically. The coloured loop of the J-initial in vv. 5307 even takes up 23 lines up to the bottom of the folio (Prillwitz 1975, 72f.).
Furthermore, the columns entail adjacent rhymes that are written in two distinct verses with the second one being slightly more on the right side (Handschriftencensus). The initial of the first word of these double verses is rubricated for additional structuring.
