The right column is preserved entirely, while 3 to 8 letters from the margin of the left column are in the turn-ins. Some of the preserved text is not legible on the spine due to tear and wear, but also to the four labels glued on the fragment. Two lines from the upper part of the leaf are not visible on the photo, but can be partially read on the turn-in.

History

Origin

Central Europe (Timișoara, like the earliest attested owner of the host volume?)

Provenance

The earliest owner of the host volume, around 1500, was a Dominican friar from Timișoara, who inscribed his name in a reserved space on f. a recto: "Concessus ad usum fratris Andree de ????? ordinis predicatorum et pertinet ad conventum Temeswaryensem". The note is repeated in the reserved space on f. A recto: "Fratri Andree ad usum concessus ordinis predicatorum et pertinet ad conventus Temeswaryensem."

The usual ownership notes of the Jesuit College of Cluj are missing.

The volume belonged in 1832 to the (Catholic) Royal High School of Cluj (front flyleaf).
