Host Volume
Title
Bourgoin, Florent. Index omnium quae insigniter a D. Aurelio Augustino dicta sunt.
Date of Origin/Publication
1541
Place of Origin/Publication
Lyons: Apud Hugonem et haeredes Aemonis a porta.
Remarks
The host volume retains its clasps (in the form of scallop shells, perhaps indicating a Venitian origin) as well as the outline of what might have been a hasp on the lower edge of the front board, perhaps indicating this binding was chained at one time. The volume was later converted into a book safe.
