Two bifolia trimmed and repurposed as a wrapper for the host volume. Only the column of text on each leaf closest to the gutter is intact. The dorse of the leaf is inaccessible.

The title of the volume has been written in black ink on the front cover: ‘Thomae LyreriSchwäbl[iche] Cronica 1486’.

The parchment is worn and stained in places.
