Remarks

The fragments preserved as bifolia or leaves (VIIIB20/7, VIIIB20/8, VIIIB20/9, VIIIB20/10, VIIIB20/11, VIIIB20/13, VIIIB20/14, VIIIB20/15, VIIIB20/92, VIIIB20/94, VIIIB20/97, VIIIB20/98, VIIIB20/99, VIIIB20/104) were used as register covers.

The fragments preserved as strips (VIIIB20/12, VIIIB20/117, VIIIB20/115, VIIIB20/116, VIIIB20/164, VIIIB20/183) were most likely used in book bindings, possibly in registers as well (as is the case with VIIIB20/164).

Remarks

VIIIB20/7 was used as a cover for an account register kept by Charles Vander Linden between 1572 and 1573 (Leuven, Archief van de Abdij van Park, IIIB1.225): 'Ontfanck ende uuytgeven van't jaer xvc lxxii'. A paper note sewn onto the fragment states: 'Enlevé à un cahier de comptes du 25-10-1572 au 31-10-1573, 31 fol. 'Ontfanck ende uytgeve door Charles Vander Linden, abt der Godshuys van Perke begont der zaterdags voor Alderheyligen ... Rekening van Jaer xvc lxxii'.

VIIIB20/8 was used as a cover for a register in 1570: 'dboeck vande Rekeninghe [...] Anno xvc lxx'.

VIIIB20/9 was used as a cover for a register kept by Charles Vander Linden ('[...] vander linden'). The exact register is unknown.

VIIIB20/10 was used as a cover for a register in 1568: 'Ontfanck ende vuytgeuen Anno xvc lxviij'.

VIIIB20/13 was used as a cover for a register related to wood sold by Parc Abbey between 1532 and 1553. '... van Schaarhoute ende Eijcken vercocht. Anno 1532 ad Anno 1553'.

VIIIB20/14 was used as a cover for a register related to the possessions of Parc Abbey in Winksele in 1605, according to a later added note.

VIIIB20/15 was used as a cover for a register kept by Parc Abbey in 1571: 'Registre vander poerten tot percke de Anno xvc. lxxi.'

VIIIB20/92 was used as a cover for an account register in 1575: 'Ontfanck [ende] vuytgeuen ad anno xvc lxxv'.

VIIIB20/94 was used as a cover for an account register in 1566: 'Ontfanck ende vuijtgeef boeck vanden Jaere xvc Sessendetsestich'.

VIIIB20/97 was used as a cover for an account register in 1574: 'Op dJaer dienen van 1574'.

VIIIB20/98 was used as a cover for an account register kept by Ambrosius Loots in 1576: 'Ontfanck ende vuytgeve heeren Ambrosius Loots vanden Jaere 1576'.

VIIIB20/99 was used as a cover for an account register in 1567: 'Ontfanck ende uytgeuen boeck vanden jaer xvc ende Seuenentsestich / 1567'.

VIIIB20/104 was used as a cover for an account register in 1573: 'Ontfanck ende uytgeuen de anno 1573'.

VIIIB20/164 was used as binding for registers related to the years 1569 and 1570, according to a later-added note: '1569-70, 28 October. Dienende voor Jaer van xvc lxix'.
