General Information
The fragment is written in a cursive script.
The paper has an watermark showing a heraldic shield with a post horn, topped by a lily, similar to watermarks found in the 1440s and 1450s in the Low Countries.
Original Condition
Judging from the chain lines and watermark the original manuscript had an -4° folding format.
The leaves as they currently are, are slightly because on most leaves part of the cognate leaf is preserved.
Current Condition
23 half leaves (upper or lower part) have been combined into 11 leaves and 1 half leaf (fol. 7). These 12 consecutive leaves probably formed the first half of a quire. There are also about a dozen very small additional snippets.
Book Decoration and Musical Notation
4-line plain initial in green (fol. 8v) signals the start of a new letter. 2-lin red initials signal when there is a change of the second letter in the word. Paraphs and colour stroking in red, lemmas underlined in red.

The paper leaves were probably used for the padding of a book cover.
