Remarks
On the right-hand column, there are between 18-20 characters with spaces missing. On the left-hand column there are five or six characters missing from the beginning of the line (right margin). 28 verses missing on the left-hand column (Deut 24.20-25.9) = at least 42 lines in total, as per standard Torah scroll in the Early modern period.
History
Origin
The Torah scroll may have been maculated in Poland, where the three books bound toghether in the host volume were printed in 1615-1618. It may thus be of Polish origin.
Provenance
The three books bound together in the host volume were printed in 1615-1618 in Raków, an important Unitarian centre in Poland, from which several books were imported to Cluj.
Persons and Institutions
Ownership note "P. R. AB. 1640" on the tite page of U.63270, followed by the usual ex libris "Ecclesiae Unitariae Claudipoli[tanae]" (s. XVII).
