Fragment was used as a cover for a printed volume. As such, the fragment still contains 17th-century paper pastedowns (fragments from a book on theology), as well as small attached leather straps. There are also multiple cuts visible across the two leaves.

Plain initials, alternately in red and blue ink; cadels with black penwork and yellow colour stroking (fol. [2]r); red rubrication.

Provenance

Fragment contains a 17th-century paper provenance note in its inside binding: 'Jaecq Wannyn dict l'Avebrou, demeurant proch de la Porte Five, a Lille'.

Fragments were transferred to Ghent University Library in the middle of the 20th century.

Remarks

When the fragment arrived at Ghent University Library, this fragment was used as a wrapper for the other nine fragments under the shelfmark HS.3020. These fragments were all removed from this binder at an unknown point.
