The bifolia are unfunished and the absence of sewing stations suggests it may have never been gathered into a quire and bound.

The two bifolia contain consecutive texts from the Psalter.

Two consecutive bifolia have been slighly trimmed and repurposed as pastedowns at the front and back of the host volume.

Book Decoration and Musical Notation

Description

Space is left for the addition of deocrated and/or penwork initials of between 1 and 3 lines high, with the scribe indicating the letter to be added. However, these were left unrealised.

3-line initials would have marked Psalm divisions; 1-line initials would have marked verse divisions.
