Provenance

The first owner of the host volume was a certain Martin Victor Czereni: "Sum ex libris Mart. Victorii Czereni natis. Anno Domini 1580" (title page of host volume). The book was subsequently bought in Košice, Slovakia, s. XVI-XVII: "Emptus a bibliopola Cassoviense qui manet ad portam inferiorem den. 50" (ibid.). In the 17th or 18th c. the volume entered the library of the Jesuit College of Cluj ("Societatis Jesu <alia manu> Claudiopoli S. J." (ibid.), and in 1831 it belonged to its successor, the Royal Catholic High School ("Bibliothecae Lycei Regalis Claudiopolitani 1831").
