History

Origin

Central Europe (Germany?)

Provenance

The host volume belonged to "Laurentius Dalnaki", who signed his name on the title page. Dálnoki Nagy Lőrinc (1614-1661) was a teacher at the Unitarian College in Cluj in the 1630s and 1640s. He left his book to the Unitarian College ("Ecclesiae Unitariensis Claudiopolitanae", s. XVII, title page).

A sixteenth- or seventeenth-century hand added the longitues of  Augsburg (Augusta), Vienna, Bratislava (Wratislavia), Speyer (Spira), Tyrus and Padua to the table on p. 44 of the host volume. In the manuscript additions to the volume, the annotator refers to German miles, and to distances between Magdeburg and Brandenburg, or Augsburg and Tübingen.
