Script, Hands
It seems that all fragments were copied in insular script from the beginning of the 10th century. The shape of a is mostly round, whereas e is tall when ligatured with the following letter (m, n, p, r, s, t, etc.) but low elsewhere. Round-backed d is found consistently. The scribe uses Uncial r in most instances, but 2-shaped r is favoured after o (see fo. 6r, lines 4 and 5, or fo. 8r, line 3). Low s is favoured is used in all position, although the round form is occasionally used at word end.
