Folds along middle and lower edge show that the leaf was used as a wrapper (folded size 217 x 15 mm), with verso serving as the outside (showing glue once used to paste brown paper over membrane). Small, neat script in the space at line 20 reads "In Praefationem in Plinis Hist. Nat."; same hand visible along outer edge of column 1.
