Breviary or prayer book
Psalms 2 and 8
F-211s
General Information
The text begins with an illuminated initial Q (Quare fremuerunt gentes) introducing the second psalm in its entirety. This is followed immediately by Psalm 8 (Domine dominus noster). The text ends at the bottom of the page in the middle of verse 7.
Ike de Loos (2001) describes this leaf as belonging to a psalter, but the psalms in a psalter would normally occur in numerical order. Furthermore, it's unlikely that Psalm 2 would only appear on page 133 of a psalter rather than at the beginning. It's more likely that these two psalms were added at the end of another kind of manuscript, perhaps a deluxe breviary.
