    The fragment functioned as a wrapper. The seventeenth-century Dutch inscription on fol. [2]r contains names that attest to the provenance: 

    "Jan van Roeije ende Jasper
    van den Beverlo naer de doot
    van Jan voers"

    Below the inscription (on fol. [1]v) is a date: "1624" (and 1625)

    Below the text is a date: "1624" (and 1625).

    Antwerp, Rijksarchief te Antwerpen, Verzameling Losse Aanwinsten, nr. 15.7 contains an inscription with a similar provenance, dating from 1626.
