Reconstruction Summary

Miniature of David at prayer. Domine ne in furore tuo arguas me.../...lacrimis meis stratum meum rigabo. Opening of the Penitential Psalms. Manuscript dismembered by Otto Ege in the mid-twentieth century. Many of the text leaves used as no. 31 in his "Fifty Original Leaves of Medieval Manuscripts" portfolios. Currently in the collection of Scott Schwartz, New York City, NY, USA, acquired in 2021 from The Manhattan Rare Book Company. The upper portion of the miniature has been retouched by the current owner and "before" and "after" images are here provided for comparison.
