Reconstruction Summary

Provenance: The Library acquired the fragment in 1966 from the estate of Sydney photographer and bibliophile Colin B. Berckelman. Prior ownership not known.

Text: Part of the Litany of Saints, invoking selected apostles, disciples, martyrs, pontiffs, doctors of the church, confessors, and priests, following to female saints (incipit Sancte iacobe ora pro nobis - explicit Sancta agnes).

Script: The manuscript is written in a hybrid Gothic bookhand known as bastarda, bâtarde and sometimes called lettre bourguignonne. Initials and line fillers alternating red and blue.
