Reconstruction Summary

One of three fragments of the manuscript acquired by Sir Edward Ford in England in 1946. This leaf gifted to Ian Jack in 1964.

49 (|||) noted in pencil at the bottom left corner.

Text: Orations for Easter, invitatory psalm used to start Nocturns, readings for the octave of Easter.

Decoration: Orations introduced by six 2-line and one 1-line initials illuminated in gold set against blue or red grounds heightened in white, with ovals filled in the alternate colour and overlaid with white tracery.
