Reconstruction Summary

The fragment is part of the David (1930-) and Marion Adams (née Heatley) (1932–1995) Collection, gifted to the Library in 2011.

Text: The Office for the Dead. The text begins at verse 5 of Psalm 124 followed by prayers and versicles. The text breaks at the incipit of Psalm 125.

Decoration: Text (on verso) enclosed by staffs painted gold sprouting foliage, flowers and ivy vines that wind around the margins. One 3-line initial 'D'  painted blue, the interior enclosing coloured ivy leaves, set against gold panel, three 2-line initials painted blue or red, and 1-line capitals alternately red, blue or brown.
