Reconstruction Summary

Manuscript waste. The bifolia appear to have been used as covers. 

The bifolia came with an envelope addressed to Paul Viollet, dated 1876, when he was librarian at the Faculté de Droit in Paris.

Two bifolia written on parchment in brown ink in a gothic hand, ruled in two columns, with rubrics and 3- and 4-line initials in gold, blue, and red. The bifolia contain 4 miniatures from the workshop of Papeleu Master.
In a portfolio case, 45 cm.
