Reconstruction Summary

A single leaf containing the offices for the feast of the birth of John the Baptist (24 June).

Includes part of Augustine, Sermo CXCVII In Natali Joannis Baptistae (PG 39.2113-2114).
The text is written in a gothic book hand in black ink in two columns, with 2-6-line initial letters in red and green.
The antiphons are in a smaller script in black ink with red lines between words, above which are "Aquitanian" neumes in black around a single red line.
Written probably in Spain or southern France.
This leaf was removed from a binding: the title "Manuel de bartholome escrivano real..." is legible written vertically between the columns of the recto.
