The fragment of an earlier psalter was apparently used as pastedown in the binding of an early edition of Jacobus Voragine, Legenda aurea and has left an offset imprint on the title page of that book. This host volume may well have been the copy of the 1486 Strasbourg edition now held by Ghent University (BHSL.RES.0077) whose title page is wanting. The binding of this copy was restored in the nineteenth century. Other copies of this edition show an identical typography of the title page, with the title set on four lines, rather than the two lines found in many other editions.
