Contents The text is from the Temporale, for the first Sunday of Lent (Dominica prima quadragesime). The page opens with the antiphon Dixit dominus, commonly sung at the office of Vespers on Sunday, then the hymn Ad preces nostras deitatis aures, continuing with liturgical texts for feria secunda (Monday), closing with the first of three lessons on Matthew. The lessons continue on the verso, followed by the liturgical texts for the hours Lauds through to Nones, breaking at the reading Isaiah 58.
Script Decoration 5 two-line red initials decorated with exuberantly flourished pen work now faded and 6 blue initials with red pen work; 9 one-line initials, alternately red or blue. Initials introducing antiphons and readings stroked in red. Rubrics written in red in similar script as the text.
