 Odense Syddansk Universitetsbibliotek RARA Musik L 46 Bookseller's receipt Denmark Rara_musik_L_46_7_R_129_003 Low German List of received titles and number of copies These two fragments are from a list documenting a shipment of books that was received in 1599. It contains titles in Danish, Latin, Greek, and German pertaining to subjects such as Danish history, the catechism, bible exegesis and theology, prayers and ballads, grammar and rhetoric. Of the Danish titles on the list, four can be identified as copies of specific editions from Mads Vingaard's Copenhagen workshop: 2 Kong Krestes den 3 histori = En kaart historiske Beskriffuelse, Paa hues merckeligt, som sig Aarlige under Christian den Tredie Hafffuer tildragit. (USTC 303250) 2 Kong fredericius den förstis = Arild Huitfeldt: Konning Friderich den Førstis: Danmarckis, Norgis, Wendis oc Gotthis konning etc. histori som regerede fast IX. aar Kbh.: Mads Vingaard, 1597. 4° (USTC 303253) 8 dansche bibelenn = Biblia. Det er, Den gantske Hellige Scrifft, paa danske, igen offverseet oc prentet effter salige oc høyhofflige ihukommelse, Kong Frederichs den II, befalning. Kbh.: Mads Vingaard, 1589. 2° The German and Latin editions are more difficult to identify conclusively, but the titles were predominantly printed in Leipzig, Wittenberg, and Frankfurt. Torn in two in order to fit into the binding. Some loss of text due to crumpling and staining. 

The fragments constitute a single-leaf document which is almost completely preserved, albeit in two pieces. The format is a list rather than prose text.

 These fragments, along with a series of other early modern paper fragments which formed paste-laminate boards, were removed from the binding of RARA Musik L 42 129, a manuscript music booklet.
