The text appears to have been washed or scraped off the parchment. together with further damage and stains from heavy usage, the text is largely illegible.

Only the works dauid rex apte dicitur on the spine are legible. All ds are straight-backed. The letters are largely unconnected and evenly spaced, which would suggest a pre-Gothic script on the earlier side of the given period.
