One hand, early Cyrillic uncial.
Rubricated initials.Romanian linguistic influences argue for an origin in the northern regions of present-day Romania.The host volume was printed in 1586 in Losk – at that time in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, today in the region of Minsk, Belarus.
Until 1616 it belonged to a certain "Thoma Pisecki de Martowicz": "<sub rasura:> Hunc... libellum... Thoma Pisecki de Martowicß est A. 1616...", and, by a different hand, "dono accepi à Domino Thoma Pisecki de Martowicz. A° 1616 in Martio" (front flyleaf). Probably this owner wrote "Emptus groß. 10" on the front pastedown.
Another owner added: "Possesssor Stanislaus Goydanzwski? 1639" (ibid.).
Finally, later in the 17th c., the owner of the book was Joachim Stegmann: "Ex libris Joachimi Stegmanni" (ibid.).
Later in that century, or in the early 18th c. the book entered the collection of the Unitarian College in Cluj: "Ecclesie Unitariensis Claudiopolitanae" (title page), and stamp on the verso of the title page. Description by: Anca Libidov & Adrian Papahagi (CODEX Centre, UBB Cluj)
