The writing is only on one side of the leaf, that which is glued to the covers. Hence, the text one can make out is faint and mirrored. Since the fragment does not stem from a codex, it is unclear how much of the original document the fragment represents. 

Cursive documentary script.

 The language suggests the document comes from the German-speaking area or Denmark, where German was widely used in the early modern period.
