            <summary/>
            <origin>Central Europe (Transylvania?). St Michael is the patron saint of the Catholic diocese of Transylvania (Alba Iulia). </origin>
            <provenance>The host volumewas printed in Basel in 1566. In the late 16th or 17th c. it arrived in Transylvania, where it belonged to a certain "Zach.[arias] Karacsonfalvi" (fol. a2 recto). Karacsonfalva is the village Crăciunel, Co. Harghita. A later note on the same page reads: "Ill[ustri] Coll[egii] R[eformati] Claud[iopolitani]". </provenance>
